Why we exist
When we made the move ourselves, we spent weeks trying to figure out the basics — which visa applied to us, what tax obligations we had across two countries, which suburbs were actually liveable on a Kiwi salary. Every page on the Australian Government site seemed to be written for people who already understood immigration law.
So we wrote the guide we wished existed. Plain English, Kiwi-specific, covering everything from the day you decide to move through to your first tax return in Australia.
